Opole – solar panel cleaning

Opole – solar panel cleaning. Maybe the last solar panel cleaning before winter. Opole in the province of Opole.

Dirty photovoltaic panels

Autumn is the time when owners of photovoltaic systems prepare them for the coming winter. An important part of maintenance is washing of photovoltaic modules. We recently performed one of the last such services this year. The ground installation we serviced was soiled mainly by raids from nearby fields and bird droppings.

Opole – solar panel cleaning: Why should you wash your panels before winter?

Photovoltaic panels collect dust, dust, leaves and other debris throughout the year, which can reduce their performance. Before winter, it’s a good idea to remove them, because in cold temperatures a dirty surface can impede water runoff, snow melt or form a layer of ice, which further affects energy production. A clean panel surface means better working conditions even on short winter days.

More than 100 photovoltaic modules on ground structure

Our latest order involved a large ground-mounted installation consisting of more than 100 photovoltaic panels. Although panels set on the ground are easier to access than those on roofs, they require precise cleaning, especially when their surface is heavily soiled. In this case, a layer of dust from a nearby field and organic debris fallen from trees required thorough removal. Access to water and electricity was provided so upon arrival we plugged in the device “Mansser” and we began our work.

We use demineralized water and brushes on telescopic poles to clean the surface of the modules, so we completed the order quite efficiently.

November temperatures do not allow you to clean the panels at any time. It is important to clean the panels only in the right conditions. Thanks to the experience of our team and also the right equipment, every step went according to plan. After a few hours of work, the installation was ready to continue working efficiently, and thus prepared for winter!

The owner of the installation quickly noticed the effects – an increase in energy production occurred the very next day. The clean surface allowed the modules to take full advantage of the available light, which is especially important in autumn and winter, when the days are shorter and the intensity of radiation is lower.

Opole – solar panel cleaning – SUMMARY:

Location: province opolskie, Opole

PV data: more than 100 pieces of photovoltaic panels of 310W each. In total, the total capacity of the photovoltaic installation over 31 kWp.

Description: more than 4 years old installation, soiled mainly with raids from the fields and dust and bird droppings.

The result: an increase in the production of photovoltaic installation by nearly 11%!

Additional information: During the cleaning of a small photovoltaic installation, the cleaning team found signs of corrosion on the structure, so the owner of the installation made an appointment with us for a inspection of the photovoltaic installation.
