Yesterday we were at the inspection of the photovoltaic installation in one of the single-family houses, in Częstochowa in the Silesia. The inspection included a visual assessment of the modules – we looked for cracks, scratches, dirt and other damage that could affect their performance. We also looked for contaminants, such as bird droppings or accumulated dust, that could block the sunlight.
Evaluation of cabling and connectors
The next step was to inspect the wiring and electrical connections. This is the part of the installation that is responsible for the safe flow of energy. We checked that the wires were not damaged or loose. We also made sure the connectors were tight and well protected from the weather, minimizing the risk of short circuits.
Inverter control
Then we moved on to the inverter – a device that converts the direct current generated by the panels into alternating current used in the household. Fronius inverter – often found in domestic photovoltaic installations We checked its performance and also the diagnostic messages that can signal possible problems.

During the inspection, we detected so-called hot spots on one of the panels, which cause the module to overheat. Using a thermal imaging camera, we identified the problem spot and recommended that the owner quickly replace the panel to avoid further damage.
