Service elements of photovoltaic farms

Service elements of photovoltaic farms

A quick return to the past season means we are washing the photovoltaic farm near Kalisz. Unfortunately, the washing robot had to go to service and we operate manually:) However, such washing has its advantages – first of all, it is very thorough. Each panel is viewed by the operator and thanks to temy it is possible to catch module cracks or other damage.

As you can see in the video, the entire farm was washed by hand with kits from MANNSER OSMO, a company we have been working with for several years.

You often ask whether such large installations are also washed by hand. It is, as you can see, possible and not at all so time-consuming. Of course, taking into account the experience of the operators and the well-prepared facilities of the work, i.e. access to water, the absence of equipment malfunctions and efficient work on site.

Let’s take a peek at other important Elements of photovoltaic farm service:

  1. System monitoring and control: This is a basic component of the service, which includes continuous monitoring of the operation of photovoltaic panels, inverters and other components of the farm. Monitoring can be both remote and local to ensure continuous control of energy production.
  2. Maintenance and upkeep: In servicing a photovoltaic farm, it is necessary to regularly maintain photovoltaic panels, inverters, batteries and other components. This includes cleaning the panels and mowing the grass, checking the condition of cables and connections, and regular maintenance.
  3. Repairs and replacement of components: If any parts of the system fail or become damaged, it is necessary to repair or replace them. Therefore, it is important to maintain spare parts and the availability of qualified personnel to make repairs.
  4. Performance optimization: Servicing a photovoltaic farm also includes optimizing its performance. This may include adjusting inverter settings, optimizing the location of panels or adding new technologies to increase energy production.
  5. Data management and reporting: As part of servicing a photovoltaic farm, it is important to collect data on energy production, failures, maintenance and other factors affecting system performance. This data is often used to analyze performance and make decisions for further optimization.
  6. Safety inspections: Safety is key in the operation of a photovoltaic farm. Regular safety inspections help identify potential risks and ensure that the farm complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  7. Warranty and service contract management: Servicing a photovoltaic farm can also include managing component warranties and service contracts with suppliers of panels, inverters and other equipment.
